Big pay day for Isinbaeva and Richards as Legat is beaten.

Yelena Isinbaeva and Sanya Richards both scooped a cool half a million dollars each after each triumphing in the last Golden League match of the season in Berlin, Germany.
Isinbaeva cleared 4.82m - a meeting record and a full 10cm higher than second placed Pyrek Monika to underline that whilst form (she has been way off her usual high standards this year) may be temporary, class is most certainly forever.
Richards who has endured a well documented turbulent season made sure her bank account will be $500,000 better off with a world leading 49.27 clocking, well clear of Christine Ohuruogu (50.40) and Nicola Sanders (50.70).
When asked what she would do with the money Isinbaeva declared that she would be sharing it with some of the poor children from her home city of Volgograd whilst Richards resolved to invest her winnings in her future after athletics.
Both athletes have a couple more competitions this year - Richards in Stuttgart, Shanghai and Yokohama and Isinbaeva - Stuttgart, Shanghai and Deagu in which they will attempt to improve on their seasons best's without the pressure of the Golden League.
Elsewhere at the meet there were routine wins for Wallace Spearmon in the men's 200m (20.22), Jeremy Wariner in the men's 400m (44.05) and Blanka Vlasic in the women's High Jump (2.00m).
However it was a suprise defeat for American 1500m/5000m champion Bernard Legat who was bested over the shorter of the distances for which he is world champion.
Crossing the line in 3:34.09 was Daniel Kipchirchir Komen 7 tenths ahead of Legat to secure his second golden league victory in 3 days.
