UKA Shut door on Chambers.

UK Athletics have elected to bar disgraced British sprinter Dwain Chambers from competing at the world indoor trials in two weeks time.

The move comes after rumours surrounding the former European champion’s return to competitive action circulated as his career in American football was cut short due to the league being dissolved

Jones sentenced to six months in prison

Disgraced Olympic sprinter Marion Jones has been sentenced to six months in prison for lying about her steroid use in an investigation into drugs related fraud.

Her sentence also includes 2 years’ probation, supervised release and 800 hours community service and will commence on the 11th of March

Kajsa Bergqvist
Swedish high jump legend Kajsa Bergqvist has announced her retirement from the sport aged 31.

The 2005 world champion and indoor world record holder stated that her enthusiasm for the sport was no longer what it was

Justin Gatlin
The Justin Gatlin story took yet another twist this week when his eight year doping ban imposed by the United States Anti-doping authority (USADA) was halved on appeal.

The decision means that Gatlin will once again be eligible to compete in May 2010
